It is annual global initiative with goal to demand justice for journalists, media workers, activists, lawyers and many others, who can be a victim for implementation of right to freedom of expression and also, to urge organizations, government bodies and individuals and assist, in order to dismantle systems of the impunity all over the world. On November 02, 2014 Secretary-General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon has sent a message on the occasion of first Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists. A free and open press is part of the bedrock of democracy and development. Yet in the past 10 years, more than 700 journalists have been killed for doing their job.

The trial on journalist of newspaper "Balkhashskiy Rabochiy" Oksana Zhivitskaya was brought to trial for slander and insult would be held on October 30, 2014 in court of Balkhash. A 30-years-old inhabitant of Balkhash Adil Agybaev has filed a suit against journalist of newspaper "Balkhashskiy Rabochiy" Oksana Zhivitskaya. She was charged with slander and insult. The charges originated from article "On good men and beastly persons" by Oksana Zhivitskaya which was published in the newspaper "Balkhashskiy Rabochiy" on June 13, 2014.

The decision in the action of 34 students and teachers of conservatory of Kurmangazy which was brought against advertising agency Havas Worldwide Kazakhstan, it was announced in Almalinsk District Court of Almaty on October 27, 2014. The advertising agency Havas Worldwide Kazakhstan made a poster, where kissing Pushkin and Kurmagazy were portrayed. According to ruling, advertising agency Havas Worldwide Kazakhstan should recover KZT34000000 to plaintiffs; the property of advertising agency was seized.

On October 20, 2014 some media outlets have received a communication. It was signed by Deputy Director of Department of Advertising Policy and Marketing of Limited Liability Partnership "NUR-Media" Elena Manuk.
