The instigator of attacks on journalists arrested in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Internal Affairs announced the detention of the instigator and organizer of attacks on journalists - Arkady Klebanov (Manevich). According to the police, he had personal claims to a number of media and journalists and organized attacks “for personal grounds”.

“Klebanov-Malevich hired a group of hackers and people who committed crimes. He was choosing the victims himself. Klebanov-Manevich paid to the members of his criminal group from the income he received from cryptocurrency transactions, ”the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

Klebanov-Malevich is charged under Articles 115 “Threat”, 147 “Violation of integrity of private life and the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on personal data and their protection”, 158 “Interfering with legal professional activity of journalist”, 202 “Intentional destruction or damaging of another’s property” and 293 “Hooliganism” of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The detainee admitted to his deed and was arrested from the sanction of the court.
