Blog platform “Live Journal” blocked by judgment

Popular blog-platform Live Journal has been non-accessible from October 07, 2008. In December 2008 Prime Minister K. Masimov has promised to resolve situation, concerning blocking of this resource. He has said about it in his interview for radio station “Ekho Moskvy”.
On May 26, 2009 Executive Secretary of Agency of Information and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan Batyr Makhanbetazhiev has said that access to network magazine was blocked by operator of communication and judgment in his interview to the newspaper “Express K”. It was done for stoppage of distribution of illegal information on the website www.geo.kz. Website www.geo.kz had mirror domain name on www.LiveJournal.com. Administration of “Live Journal” did not execute judgment of Kazakhstan’s court. As a result of it access to this resource was blocked.
In October 2007 KazNIC (Kazakh Network Information Centre) did not support domain www.geo.kz and other domains in zone KZ from violation of rules of allocation of domain sphere of Kazakhstan’s segment of Internet.
Blocking of websites and refusal in support of domain names has been from political motives, in connection with publication of materials on these Internet-resources with record of telephone conversations of high state officials.
There was any official information on judgment, concerning blocking of the website www.geo.kz.
