Judgment of stoppage of the newspaper “Alma-ata Info” has come to law-enforcement

On March 18, 2009 Appeal Instance of Almaty City Court has dismissed judgment of the Court of First Instance about stoppage of the newspaper “Alma-ata Info”. As a result of it newspaper was stopped for one month.
Founder and Chief Editor of the newspaper Ramazan Yesergepov has been under arrest on January 06, 2009. Criminal case was initiated against him. He was charged of divulgation of state secret. There was a case of the recovery of damage to businessman in Medeu District Court. He has demanded recovery of 100 000 000 tenge as damage from the newspaper “Alma-ata Info” and Askhat Bimenbetov.
