Employees of the newspaper “Respublika” give advices how to keep out of blocking of their websites

Administration of the portal www.respublika-kz.info has distributed official letter. It was connected with blocking of Internet-resource (it had mass DDos-attack) on February 13, 2009.

The portal www.respublika-kz.info is joint project of editorial staff of Kazakhstan’s newspaper “Respublika- delovoye obozrenie” and Moscow’s editorial staff of information and analytical portal “Respublika”. It has been non-accessible for Kazakhstan’s and foreign Internet-users in the evening on February 13, 2009. There were mass DDos-attacks. As a result of it there was damage on the server, where portal was placed.

There was taken decision to place materials on the page of “Live Journal” – http://respublika-kaz.livejournal.com/ during prophylactic works. In any case capacity of materials and publications will not be changed.

They have made restoration works of website of the newspaper “Respublika- delovoye obozrenie”- www.respublika-kz.com.

Employees of the portal have known about problems, connected with access to “Live Journal” in Kazakhstan and some other Internet-resources. They have made some methods. It will help to avoid some longstops, including blocking of websites. There were some proxy-servers:

There was principle of the function: you have to input one of 10 addresses in address bar of browser, input address of the website, which you want to visit in zone near with bottom “GO” or “Browse” after connection of the page, then press upon bottom “GO” or “Browse”.

Attention! Proxy-servers are changed from time to time information of reference is not always functioned. You can use search services such as, Google, Yandex and some others for individual search of functional proxy-servers. It is necessary to write in search column “anonymous proxy-servers”.

You can also subscribe for electronic mail delivery (it means information line of the portal and PDF-version of the newspaper). You should send message “Subscription for “Respublika”” from your email to emails media.republika@gmail.com and respublika_kz@list.ru.
