Chairman of the Kazakhstan Society of the Blind sues Ratel.kz and Orda.kz

On March 10 a sanctioned rally in support of the rights of handicapted took place in Almaty. There  activists accused the Kazakh Society of the Blind (KSB) of corruption. Two media - Ratel.kz and Orda.kz - quoted their words and reported on the fight that took place during the rally. KSB Chairman Almat Nauryzbaev considered that the phrases quoted by Ratel.kz in its article and the title of the article published by Orda.kz discredit his honor and dignity. The activists, whose words were quoted by media are also  defendants in the lawsuit. The KSB chairman demanded to collect one million tenge in solidarity from the activists and the media outlets.
