Interrogations of journalists continue in Aktobe
On January 12, Zhanagul Zhursin, Radio Azattyk reporter, was kept in the Aktobe police station for three hours. There she learned her procedural status - “witness with the right to defense”.
Nursultan Akhmetov, an investigator from the Investigative Department, was interested why Zhursin went to the rally, who called her there, whom she talked to, and so on.
- She said that according to the Mass Media Law, every journalist has the right to collect and disseminate information. She also said that no one called her, she went there to perorm her professional duty, - Azattyk radio journalist reports.
Journalists from KTK TV, Channel 31, Ratel.kz were also summoned for questioning. Everyone was asked questions about their attitude towards the Democratic Choice of Kazakhstan and Mukhtar Ablyazov.
