Media laboratory-2021 opened in Tashkent

The International Training  Media Laboratory-2021 for journalists and volunteers from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan began today in Tashkent. It is organized by the Center for the Retraining of Journalists (Uzbekistan).

The International Foundation for the Protection of Freedom of Expression "Adil Soz" and the Public Association "Kazakhstan Media Network" are taking part in the training on behalf of Kazakhstan.

The theme of the training is "The Role of Mass Media in Strengthening the Principles of Global Civic Spirit."

The event will last until August 25.  A Memorandum on cooperation and interaction between media organizations of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan is planned to be signed.

Cooperation will consist in conducting joint educational programs, exchanging experience in human rights activities and joining efforts in promoting the principles of freedom of speech.
