On April 14, in Petropavlovsk, Khabar TV team came to one of the city's outpatients' clinics to investigate the situation with the payment of the so-called "covid-19 risk" pays. The management of the medical institution was so discontented with the visit of the journalists that the acting medical director filed a police report on Natalia Volkova, the reporter.
The senior executives of the Petropavlovsk police Department confirmed this fact. They commented on the relevant post on the social network:
"On April 14, 2021 the management of the Municipal state enterprise on the right of economic management First City Hospital, located at 3, Satpayev Street, called the police emergency number "102" and complained there are journalists in the hospital building. Officers of the Second Police Department of the Petropavlovsk Police Department went to the scene."
Fortunately, the police did not share the opinion of doctors that the presence of journalists in a hospital is an offense and requires police actions. "The fact-finding proved that employees of the TV channel were performing their professional duties in the hospital building. In accordance with the collected material, a decision was made to write off the case, " – the Police Department of Petropavlovsk reported.
