Lukpan Akhmedyarov faces new charges

Lukpan Akhmedyarov was charged under Article 505, part 1 of the Administrative Code ("Violation of the rules for site improvement of the territories of cities and inhabited localities, as well as destruction of infrastructure facilities, destruction and damage of green plantings of a city and inhabited localities"). Most likely the grounds was the poster that Lukpan attached to the police department building after the statement he made. It's unlear what will be the consequences of these charges. The police officers who detained Akhmedyarov and interviewed him said that they would inform on their further actions later. This is how it was:

- After I made the statement, police officers took me inside the building to the police department and tried to interrogate me, - said Lukpan Akhmedyarov. - I immediately demanded to draw up a protocol of the interrogation. They refused. It took them half an hour to answer the  question about the reason for my detention. Then a police officer came and said that I was charged under article 505. I asked another question: "What part of that article was the ground for detention?". It sent him into a tailspin. He came out and was absent for a long time. When he came back he said that it was part one. After that, I was interviewed and released. It was somemintues past 6 PM. I had  summons to  investigator for 7 PM on the case of divulging results of preliminary investigation. So I went to the editorial office, took a break, and in 40 minutes I was back in the Abay police department.

The second visit to the Abai department turned out to be useless. Lukpan was sitting there for a long time, waiting for the investigator. Finally he saw the investigator passing through the hall. The investigator was very surprised,  and asked Lukpan why he was sitting there.

"You  issued me a summons for today, for this hour," Akhmedyarov reminded him.

"But your lawyer called us and said he couldn't come today."

"I won't give any testimony and I won't sign anything without my lawyer," Lukpan said.

- Yes, we know your position, so we did not expect you here at this hour, - the investigator retorted.

As for the recondution as a witness, the police explained that Lukpan Akhmedyarov allegedly did not appear  before the police under the served  summons. Akhmedyarov  claims that he never evaded coming to the police. He was served the summons  but he immediately informed that he would not be able to come at that time since he would be on a work trip. The journalist wrote that right on the summons that he had no intention to evade coming to the police but requests to set another time for that visit.

- The investigator said that there were no problems and served a summons for February 5, -  Lukpan explains. – So I was planning to go  for interrogation on February 5. Therefore, when I was told that I allegedly did not show up on February 2 and it was considered an evasion, it was a total surprise to me. The fact that I came for questioning on February 2 is recorded  in the visits register, in the protocol of the interrogation and the video cameras installed in the Abay police department.

The summons for the evening of February 3 and for 10 AM  February 4 were issued to Akhmedyarov on February 3 in the morning, after he was detained on Uralsk-Atyrau highway and reconducted to the Abai police department.

The next Akhmedyarov's visit to police is scheduled for 10 AM February 4.
