In Almaty court satisfied one more claim made against Forbes.kz and Ratel.kz

Medeu District Court of Almaty partially satisfied a claim of the General Director of Joint-Stock Company “K-Dorstroy” Valeriy Lazarev made against the former general director of LLP "Avtodorservis" Vitaly Protsentov, publisher of Internet-portal Ratel.kz LLP "ITAYU", journalist Gennady Benditskiy, publisher of the website Forbes.kz LLP “United Media Group” and deputy editor-in-chief of edition Alexander Vorotilov.

The plaintiff asked court to admit 14 articles these articles contradicted the reality. 7 of them were published on the website Forbes.kz and 7 of them were published on the website of Internet-portal Ratel.kz . The plaintiff asked to  refute the articles  and removed them from the websites. In due time, the same articles were specified in lawsuit of the Ex-Minister of Finance and State Revenue of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zeinulla Kakimzhanov filed against these editions.

Furthermore, Valeriy Lazarev demanded to impose defendants on redress for the non-pecuniary damage in the amount of KZT10 mln.

The court ruled and imposed defendants on recovery of KZT 1000000 million in joint and several order and admitted articles specified by plaintiff these articles contradicted the reality.  

On April 04, 2017 Medeu District Court adjudicated on the claim of the Ex-Minister of Finance and State Revenue of the Republic of Kazakhstan and his son against Internet-portal Ratel.kz and magazine Forbes.kz and imposed defendants pay off KZT 50millions and 200 thousands: KZT 27 millions and 900 thousands in favor of Zeinulla Kakimzhanov and KZT 22 millions and 300 thousands in favor Ilhaid Kakimzhanov.

Also, in February and April, 2017 there were three lawsuits in Medeu District Court of Almaty. These    were filed by heads of companies mentioned in publications of Ratel.kz and Forbes.kz. Plaintiffs demanded to impose defendants on redress for the non-pecuniary damage accounted in millions.
