Ramazan Esergepov: I feel well

Correspondent of “Adil Soz” got through to Ramazan Esergepov who is in the hospital of Shu. According to Ramazan Esergepov he felt well and intended to continue his treatment in Almaty.

“I feel well. I hope to go to Almaty by reanimobile tomorrow. Doctors are good, I get good care. I am under protection. The head of criminal investigation department came from Astana”- R. Esergepov said.

On May 14 Chairman of the Board of Directors of Public Foundation Journalists in Troubles Ramazan Esergepov was attacked in train. R. Esergepov got  knife abdomen wound and was delivered to the hospital of Shu, where he received a surgery.

According to Rozlana Taukina, the Chairman of Committee for Protection of Zhanbolat Mamay, of which R. Esergepov is an active member, he disagrees with the version of investigators that the cause of the attack was a conflict during boarding the train. According to R.Esergepov, there were no excesses while boarding of the train. This is also confirmed by Esergepov’s son who saw him off.

The attack was reported on early morning 15 May. Department of Internal Affairs on transport began the pre-trial investigation under article 24 “Preparation for crime and attempt to commit crime and article 99 “Murder” of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
