The court found internet user Ruslan Ginatullin guilty of inciting hatred and sentenced him to 6 years in prison

In Pavlodar court found Ruslan Ginatullin guilty of inciting religious and national hatred and participation in a criminal group and sentenced him to 6 years of imprisonment in a maximum security penal colony.

As the judge said while announcing the sentence, two videos generally accessible in internet that Ruslan Ginatullin shared at his account in social network VKontakte, incite ethnic and religious hatred. According to the court decision, Ginatullin shared the videos on purpose, to be viewed by other people and thus incited national and religious hatred.

The court sentenced Ruslan Ginatullin to six years in prison for inciteing ethnic and religious hatred and to five years of imprisonment for participating in religious extremist party (REP) "Hizb-ut-Tahrir". The total punishment for Ginatullin is 6 years of imprisonment in maximum security penal colony.   

R.Ginatullin did not plead guilty, saying he had no intention to incite any kind of hatred, and admitted his guilt during investigation being under psychological and physical pressure.
