28 September International Day of Universal Access to Information

We inform, that competition which is devoted to International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity it is rescheduled from 08 to 28 September, due to the fact thatInternational Day of Universal Access to Information is commemorated for the first time in 2016; it is instituted by declaration which is proclaimed by UN and states-members of UNESCO in November of 2015. The initiative of UNESCO is a result of propaganda of African Platform of Access to Information.

According to declaration: The right for receiving of information is an integral part of right to freedom of expression of opinions embodied in resolution 59 of General Assembly of the United Nations which was adopted in 1946, in article 19 of Universal Declaration of Human Rights and in article 19 of International Treaty on Civil and Political Rights.

In this regard, International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech “Adil Soz”, Almaty Cluster Office of UNESCO, Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan with the support of Embassy of Germany and International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX) announce photo competition which is devoted to International Day of Struggle for Universal Access to Information.

We take photos of professional photo reporters and photo men in electronic version or in paper form A4 format.

There are nominations:

•In an creative delirium

•For some photos in newspaper

•Secrecies of glasnost

•On court do not judge

•Dignity on honour

The best photos will be exhibited in the Central State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty and published in popular periodical editions of Kazakhstan.

The best of the best authors of photos will be awarded valuable professional prizes. You can send your photos with mark “Competition” till 15 September, 2016.
