Journalist of newspaper “Diapason” Bagdat Asylbek was detained His dictaphone was damaged

In Aktobe, journalist of the newspaper “Diapason” Bagdat Asylbek was detained by policemen on Square in the Park of the First President. His dictaphone was damaged.

The website of newspaper had following information:

Bagdat Asylbek was able to inform his colleagues. Now, his mobile telephone is switched off, his colleagues have no any contact with him. They informed to Chief Officer of Police of Aktobe Kanat Aliev; he promised to solve a problem.

The Head of Department of Internal Policy Erbol Nurgaliev reported over telephone, that detention of journalist of the newspaper “Diapason” Bagdat Asylbek, it was an misunderstanding and promised, that representatives of Department of Internal Policy would go to the police station and Bagdat Asylbek would be released.

Today, two journalists from Aktobe Bagdat Asylbek and Yuri Geyst fulfilled editorial task, they covered activity of Commissions for Land Reform. They attended Drama Theatre, House of Friendship, Philharmonic and “Nur Otan”. There was a favourable situation and there were some citizens of Aktobe, who were interested in land aspects.

Then, journalists attended squares. There were concerts devoted to Day of Culture. Yuri Geyst attended square near Central Stadium. He informed, that square was cordoned off by policemen; there were some concert-goers. Yuri Geyst told, that he made a photo of bus on square near Oblast Akimat (Regional Body of Executive Power); policemen came up to him, they demanded, that he removed a photo. Yuri Geyst refused to do it, explained, that he made a photo of “AutoPark” bus. Then, a policeman recorded his personal data and left. Central Park of the First President was cordoned off; there was a concert on stage. It was impossible to go through central entrance for him. Cordon policemen informed, that there was a concert for military officers. And, really there were thirty military officers among concert-goers. But, it was possible to go into stage, through park; he did it.

The representative of akimat (regional body of executive power), who has been near stage, explained journalist, that this concert actually was devoted to Day of Culture; there was awarding of workers of culture.
