It is probably that Guzyal Baidalinova may be released on bail

There was a trial on Guzyal Baidalinova in Almalinsk District Court on December 26, 2015 (Saturday). It was connected with change of a measure of restraint with regard to Guzyal Baidalinova. We would like to remind you, that editor of Internet-portal Nakanune.kz Guzyal Baidalinova was detained and taken into custody on December 23, 2015. She was suspected in involvement in dissemination of misleading information under article 274 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Her  lawyer,  Inessa Kisileva  plead for change of a measure of restraint with regard to Guzyal Baidalinova, that she should not be taken into custody.  The day before, Executive Director of Public Foundation “Charter for Human Rights” Zhemis Turmagambetova and President of Public Foundation “Adil Soz” Tamara Kaleyeva, they sent their personal caution and answer for Guzyal Baidalinova to the investigative authority of Department of Internal Affairs (Almaty).

Only, her colleagues, journalists Oxana Makushina and Kazis Toguzbaev could attend this trial.

Oxana Makushina said, that a judge said, that the ruling should be made and come into effect and if none appealed it Guzyal Baidalinova would be released on December 29, 2015 (Tuesday).

The editor-in-chief of “Respublika” Irene Petrushova in her turn has commented situation in social network “Facebook”. She remembered same situations which took a place in Europe. For example, Syrym Shalabaev was released at once in Lithuania; Alexander Pavlov was released at once in Spain. There was a sanction with regard to Guzyal Baidalinova, she should be taking into custody during three days.

Her lawyer, Inessa Kisileva explained that arrest of Guzyal Baidalinova was sanctioned during two months, that’s why she was kept in custody. The bail was established after its passing she would be released, it would be accepted after coming into effect ruling in three days.

On December 24, 2015 International Committee to Protect Journalists issued and spread a release. It has called on state authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan immediately to release Guzyal Baidalinova to drop prosecution of journalists and change laws that allowed criminal prosecution for execution of the right for freedom of opinions.
