Public Appeal to Board of Directors, Members of Board of JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK”

The large public of Kazakhstan knows “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” as a leader of banking sector of Kazakhstan, hopeful partner in business and assistant of some thousands citizens of Kazakhstan, who trust it their savings. A wide charity plays the important role in deserved stable reputation of bank.

Every year JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” allocates a vast amount of money, in order to decrease childish and maternal mortality, to develop business initiative among disabled persons; it awards personalized scholarship to A- students from needy families, assists in the purchase of upgraded and rehabilitation equipment for children, who should stay and have a long term treatment in hospitals and rehabilitation centers; every year, personally celebrates its clients, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, it transfers gifts of money to their banking accounts.

All the more so, we were struck by banking initiatives because of these banking initiatives media offices and flats of publishers are searched; journalists are detained, taken into custody, they can be sentenced to long terms of imprisonment. It is obvious, that JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” values its reputation and it has to protect from slander with regard to it, false and discredited information. Shall these aggressive measures of protection improve image of bank? JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” demanded recovery of KZT20000000 from journalist. Whose side is public opinion on wealthy bank or media outlets? It has filed a suit. The unmarried mother was intimidated by heavy term of deprivation of liberty, a wife of the disabled person was put behind bars on the eve of New Year. We readily believe, that these publications have really misleading information which made angry staff of JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” or some competitors, or some other detractors, who attempted to discredit bank. It is a subject to dispel myths and inform the society about its advantages, win more supporters publicly and demonstratively through public discussions. Threats and repressions may trigger fears, but not respect.

We hope, that Board of Directors, Members of Board of JSC “KAZKOMMERTSBANK” will re-consider the strategy of protection of business reputation, withdraw their complaint to law enforcement agencies and choose methods which answer the prosperous and authoritative  financial institution.
