Murat Telibekov shall protect from slander

Lately, social networks began actively spread a plot which was prepared and demonstrated on television channel "Almaty". The journalist Shynar Sagindyk and her conversation partners accused writer and publicist Murat Telibekov in adherence to heterodox branch of Islam and training of extremists of terrorist nature.

Murat Telibekov believes, that it is the latest round of campaign which is aimed at his discrediting as law-abiding person to pronounce him as criminal and imprison him. He said his intention to file a claim with law enforcement agencies and file a suit against them to the court to bring them to responsibility.

We would like to remind you that at the present time, investigative procedure had been suspended with regard to M. Telibekov; he was charged with denigration of national honour of Kazakhs and afforded it in his book "Wind From Street", according to statements of accusers. But, this book (in particularly, Murat attempted to publish it in 1992) had no any scandalous text which was ascribed to him.
