Court sentenced journalist to eight years of imprisonment and extortionist received suspended sentence

Ex-Deputy Askar Bakhralinov was sentenced to ten years of imprisonment, editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Version" Yaroslav Golyshkin was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment, he would be served a term of imprisonment in the colony with a strict regime. Ex-Police Major Farkhat Aliyasov except for extortion, he was charged with illegal keeping of weapon and drugs, but during investigative procedure and trial he testified "complete and voluntary abandonment of the criminal purpose" and was sentenced to three years and six months of deprivation of liberty. The entrepreneur Nurzhan Suleymenov (in particularly, he was caught with red-handed during transfer of funds), probably, repented all what he has done and abetted the cause of justice more actively; he was sentenced to seven years of restriction of liberty. 

But, official website of Pavlodar Oblast Court had following information. The court "has been considered during within a reasonable time frame"; lawyers of Yaroslav Golyshkin doubted, that it was possible to introduce with 25 volumes of criminal case (in particularly, each of them had 185 pages) scrupulously. The mother of Yaroslav Golyshkin, who was involved in trial as public defender, she said, that lawyers of the accused persons have filed not less than 20 motions, but none of them were satisfied, case had some discords and direct unconformities.

Lawyers of journalist file an appeal.
