Today sentence shall be pronounced on editor of newspaper "Version" Yaroslav Golyshkin

We would like to remind you that criminal case of rape was initiated in February in Pavlodar. Policemen admonished rape victim to take $5000 and withdraw the charge. Pavlodar had been abuzz with rumors about son of Oblast Akim (governor), who had been one of the participator of rape, that's why this crime was defused. The editor of oblast independent newspaper "Version" Yaroslav Golyshkin decided to conduct journalistic investigation. He found rape victim and her friend, made a video interview with them and took written evidences. Yaroslav Golyshkin could do it with the help of a man whom he put him down for reliable source of information. The "reliable source of information" businessman Nurzhan Suleimenov recorded this conversation on his mobile phone at the same time. The rape victim described perpetration and her friend said, that she did not recommend her to resign, but this girl was isolated in police, policemen obliged rape victim to take money as compensation. 

Shortly afterwards, blackmail was used towards oblast akim (governor). Unknown persons extorted $500000 and threatened him, if he refused to do it, they would post a video of interview, where a son of oblast akim (governor) was mentioned as co-participator of rape.

Oblast Akim (governor) has appealed to Committee of National Security which launched investigation of extortion case.  On May 18, 2015 Yaroslav Golyshkin within the scope of this case was arrested. 

During investigating procedure representatives of prosecutor’s office answered to letter-request of editorial staff of newspaper "Version" they informed, that this rape took a place near residence of oblast akim (governor). Journalists looked around surrounding area, they informed that residence of oblast akim (governor) stood alone, there was no any buildings, either hovels. It was impossible to rape somebody near residence in February. All cottages were placed in the grounds of state residence.

The lawyer of editor of newspaper "Version" Anatoliy Utbanov said, that state prosecution during debates asked to sentence journalist Yaroslav Golyshkin and Deputy for Akim (Governor) of Pavlodar District Bakhralinov to twelve years of deprivation of liberty; former policeman Aliyasov and businessman Suleymenov who admitted their guilt completely, they should be sentenced to seven years of deprivation of liberty. Neither journalist, nor  Deputy for Akim (Governor) of Pavlodar District Bakhralinov admitted their guilt. 

On October 27, 2015 on his page in social network Facebook  lawyer of editor of newspaper "Version" Anatoliy Utbanov stated, that there was a trial of four accused persons, who was charged with extortion, involvement of minors in criminal activity, keeping of weapon, drug possession and pseudo terrorism within ten days. He promised to tell about their disagreement with state prosecution with the help of facts in the future.
