SCAT Airline charged media portal "Radiotochka" with slander
SCAT Airline has issued release on its intention to bring criminal action against journalist of media portal "Radiotochka" Sergei Kim. It has filed a complaint with Department of Internal Affairs of Almaty.
The charges originated from article "SCAT Airline is a one of the world's most dangerous airline within six months" which was posted on the website of "Radiotochka" on June 17, 2015. "According to raiting, (in particularly, this rating is established by International Air Transport Association biennially), Kazakhstan Airline SCAT is a top ten of the world's most dangerous airlines within six months among half thousand of air carriers; their resources and short-term timeline were analyzed by analytics of Association..."
In its release, representatives of SCAT Airline informed, that servicemen of International Air Transport Association replied to their request; they did not establish official ratings of air safety of some airlines and did not give official comments, related to current level of air safety of SCAT Airline.
Representatives of SCAT Airline Авиакомпания thought, that correspondent "disseminated and posted on media portal "Radiotochka" unverified and inaccuracy information which discredited business reputation of JSC "SCAT Airline"; caused false negative information outcry and pursued purposes to satisfy his personal professional ambitions».
In its turn, editorial staff of media portal"Radiotochka" informed on the website about inaccuracy in article on the website. This article had information on fire of line aircraft of SCAT Airline in Aktau. This inaccuracy was revised after conversation with press secretary of airline. S. Kim referred to raiting, but this raiting was not establish by International Air Transport Association; website www.airlineratings.com prepared this raiting. It has system of safety audit of airlines; International Air Transport Association – is a part of criteria, according to these criteria sign "star" is given to separate airline (maximum 7). According to raiting of website www.airlineratings.com. SCAT Airline has one sign "star".
