Journalist Kuanysh Nurzhanov from news reporter became detained person during record of police raid

On April 04, 2015 correspondent of newspaper "Ne Khabar?!" (Aktau) Kuanysh Nurzhanov has addressed to Press Officer of Department of Internal Affairs (Mangistau Oblast) Azamat Sarsenbaev and obtained warrant to participate in night police raid "Copse".On April 04, 2015.On April 04, 2015 at 22.00 p.m. he has launched work together with his colleagues from newspapers "Tumba", "Lada" and television channel "Kazakhstan-Aktau" and representatives of department of education. In the mid of raid, at 02.00 p.m. only one teenager was detained; Kuanysh decided to continue his participation in raid till morning, in order to collect additional facts.       

During procedure of execution of raid' documents, he had to wait in department of oblast administrative police near detained persons. K. Nurzhanov once more inspected the dictophone for proper functionality, in order to save time. One of the policemen has deemed his actions as record of events which took a place in police station for example, rude and obscene outcries of a police woman with regard to detained K. Nurzhanov.  Policemen took his dictophone, identity card, press card, then from 02.00 to 03.00 a.m. Kuanysh Nurzhanov was interrogated by colonel of police Nurzhan by name. Nurzhanov responsed on his questions: "who are you?", "who did permit to record?" "what right had you?"

Only, after telephone call addressed to for editor-in-chief Saniya Toiken, he was released. His audio records made during police raid and the other ones were erased.

On April 05, 2015 Saniya Toiken and Kuanysh Nurzhanov were called to Administrative Police of Department of Internal Affairs (Mangistau Oblast), Acting Deputy Chief of department of Administrative Police of Department of Internal Affairs (Mangistau Oblast) Baurzhan Aibekov.
