Criminal case was opened against editor of newspaper "Issykskiy Vestnik" Aigul Musabaeva She was charged with slander

There was a preliminary hearing upon private complaint of deputy director of legal college Gulbarshyn Mukhamedzhanova in Enbekshikazakh District Court (Almaty Oblast) on March 30, 2015. She charged editor of the newspaper "Issykskiy Vestnik" Aigul Musabaeva with slander under article 130 of Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The deputy director thought, that journalist in her article "Death Under Bridge" which was published in the newspaper "Issykskiy Vestnik" on March 10, 2015, where there was  information on death of student of college, disseminated misleading information with regard to private prosecutor. The prosecutor thought, that slander has been information on her denial, in order to provide information on a died student for journalist, refered to prohibition of administration, when she actually satisfied a request of investigation bodies. 

Aigul Musabaeva informed foundation "Adil Soz", that these disputable materials have been accute ones. The deputy director of college flatly refused to speak about student and did not want to describe his psychological profile.

At the present time, parties intend to fall back upon mediation procedure.
