Trial on journalist Valeriy Surganov who was charged with slander with regard to judge Daniya Kisikova was completed by pacific settlement

There was a final trial on editor-in-chief of Internet-portal INSIDERMAN Valeriy Surganov, who was charged with slander with regard to judge Daniya Kisikova on July 04, 2014. Valeriy Surganov agreed, that publications, related to rape case which was conducted in appeal instance by judge of Astana City Court Daniya Kisikova these publication have been of unallowable subjective nature with some false information; he asked forgiveness for her for inflicted emotional distress.

Plaintiffs informed, that they were satisfied by this forgiveness and they withdrew their suit to court on condition that all disputable publications would be removed from website and social networks.

On April 01, 2014 Investigative Officer of the Department of Internal Affairs (Astana) V. M. Shutko has given indictment to Head of Internet-project Insiderman Valeriy Surganov. According to this document, Surganov in collusion, using linguistic methods of manipulation by the public conscence, organized criminal group with intent to slander judge Daniya Kisikova.

We would remind you that, judge Daniya Kisikova has filed a suit against Valeriy Surganov on November 22, 2013.

The charges originated from some publicatons, related to trial on rape which were posted on the website www.insiderman.kz. However, Valeriy Surganov has refused to disclose information sources and authors of publications; criminal case was opened against «unidentified persons». On November 26, 2013 according to order of investigator, Valeriy Surgan was suspected of committing of two crimes – slander with regard to a judge, obstruction of justice and procedure of pre-trial investigation.
