Two television channels can suspend their broadcasting

The City Court of Temirtau has awarded judgment of annulment of approval documents in order to operate the equipment of television channels "43 Channel" and "TKT". The trial was lasted for years. It was connected with complaint of dwellers of ten-storeyed house, where there were offices of television channels with all necessary technical equipment for broadcasting. Dwellers were unsatisfied by operational effect and electromagnetic emission of antennas and receivers. The City Court of Temirtau has taken the side of dwellers, awarded judgment; it has prohibited television channels "43 Channel" and "TKT" to operate the equipment. The judgment came into effect in December, 2013.
So, television channels continued their broadcasting, court officers began to satisfy judgment of Temirtau City Court. The Head of Department of Caraganda Oblast Inspection of Communication and Information Muslim Ospanov has sketched the situation.
We would like to note, that it is not the first case, when electronic media suspend their broadcasting under the pretence of failure to observe technical and sanitary standards. In September, 2011 Speialized Interdistrict Economic Court of Almaty has passed judgment upon suit of sanitary epidemiological station of Almaly district, concerning suspension of activity of studio LLP "Stan Production" (publisher of videoportal Stan.kz) and transmit-receive equipment.
The Executive Director of National Association of Television and Radio Broadcasters Sholpan Zhaksybayeva noted the following: "Television channels which function during ten or twenty years, they are not closed for no special reason. The most frequently it happenes because of unsatisfaction of local authority. The local authority expresses its disagreement and dissatisfaction with regard to policy of television channel and publication of critical and sharp materials, related to state officials. For a example, they begin to prefer claims to equipment which functioned for a long period, having special approval documents. As a result of such actions, first of all, the common viewer suffers from it. The viewer fails to receive necessary and local information. National television channels focus on news of two capitals. They are not interested in public life of regions".
