As previously reported on June 08, 2013 correspondent of the newspaper "Liter" Tamara Vaal was beaten by guardsmen of Capital Palace of Peace and Reconciliation under fulfillment of her professional duties. She has recorded her beatings in the Center of Forensic Investigation and filed a complaint with police.

Some media outlets published information on ugly fact. T. Vaal was invited to akimat (district administration) of Astana. Employees of akimat (district administration) proposed her to solve a problem privily: journalist would take her complaint from police and akimat (district administration) would help to stifle the scandal in press and in Internet. They reminded Tamara that newspaper "Liter" had state order and dropped some strong hints that in a case of biased investigation of incident, journalists might themselves be guilty in violation of law and order.

The correspondent of foundation "Adil Soz" spoke with T. Vaal by telephone. T. Vaal said that she did not intend to fulfill recommendations of capital akimat (district administration) and had a meeting with investigative officer of Department of Internal Affairs.
