Policemen attacked on film crew of television channel "KTK"

On May 29, 2013 in Astana policemen attacked the film crew of television channel “KTK”, correspondent Artem Petrov and camera man Nurbolat Kulmanov during fulfillment of their professional duties.
Journalists received information on a woman, who in protest climbed to the building crane and threatened to commit suicide, they came to the scene of accident. Policemen refused to introduce themselves, they actively interfered to shooting and attempted to lay face of camera man down on the asphalt. Policemen stopped when, journalists stated, that they would make a review on attack of policemen on a film crew in the future newscast.
Later, officers of the Department of Internal Affairs explained on telephone to Artem Petrov reason of their aggression, that film crew supposedly has been in so-called prohibited area.
By fact of attack, journalists sent their video materials and filed their complaint to General Prosecutor's Office of Astana.
