Former Chief of Department for Organized Crime Control of Department of Internal Affairs of West Kazakhstan Oblast Rauan Musin demands KZT3000000 from newspaper «Moy Gorod» (Uralsk)

On February 04, 2013 the Former Chief of Department for Organized Crime Control of Department of Internal Affairs of West Kazakhstan Oblast Rauan Musin has filed a suit about protection of honour, dignity and business reputation and recovery of KZT3000000 from newspaper "Moy Gorod" (Uralsk) to court.
The charges originated from article "Does chair of Deputy for Chief of Department of Internal Affairs of West Kazakhstan Oblast cost USD50000?" which was published in the newspaper "Moy Gorod" on December 12, 2012. The application was completely cited. It was posted on blog of Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the beginning of December. In application, a citizen, who introduced himself Serik Abdrakhmanov addressed an appeal to Ministry of Internal Affairs Kasymov Kalmukhanbet, Public Prosecutor Askhat Daulbayev and Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov of the Republic of Kazakhstan against Rauan Musin. The writer of application has charged Rauan Musin with different criminal breaches of trust and asked to stop his illegal actions.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan said about conduction of pre-investigative control, after that newspaper has published disputable article. Rauan Musin demanded to publish a disclaimer. Editorial staff of the newspaper "Moy Gorod" published article "Author has been anonymous person", where there was a claim of Musin. But, in his suit Former Chief of Department for Organized Crime Control of Department of Internal Affairs of West Kazakhstan Oblast Rauan Musin said that editorial staff did not satisfy his request, concerning publication of disclaimer of untruth information.
The first legal proceeding will be held on March 28, 2013.
