Convening briefing judges of Almaty did not want to reply on issues of journalists

On February 28, 2013 Almaty City Court has invited journalists to briefing. The actual themes were announced: "On suspension of media issue – newspaper "Vzglyad" and Internet-resources which duplicated the content of this newspaper; "On suspension of distribution of foreign media output – OJSC "Television Company K+" and its duplicated Internet-resources within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan; "On prohibition of media issue, newspapers: "Golos Respubliki – Kaleydoscop Sobytiy Nedeli", "Respublika. Delovoye Obozrenie – Duble 2", "Moya Respublika. Facty, Sobytiya, Ludi", "Respublika – NEW – Informatsionno – Analiticheskiy Ezhenedelnik", "Vsya Respublika", "Moy Dom – Respublika. Obzor Sobytiy Nedeli", "Respublika -2030 -Delovaya Gazeta", "Respublikanskie Vesti -Delovoye Obozrenie" and Internet-resources"; "On suspension during 3 (three) months of media distribution – Internet-resource www.guljan.org and access to it" within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Not all journalists, who came to attend a briefing, they could not enter into press center of court. Bailiffs have said that there was a small room, they allowed some journalists to go inside, the other ones had to await the closure of briefing in the corridor.
Attended and participated in briefing chairmen of Medeu and Bostandyk District Courts of Almaty – E. Totybay-tegi and K. Dosymbet and, also a judge of Medeu District Court G. Beysenova, who issued a decision, concerning "universal media", they read their materials; when journalists began to ask questions, moderator – coordinator of media activity of Almaty City Court Sholpan Kurmanbekova said that it was a briefing and journalists had to ask their questions, according to announced theme. But, when journalists asked their questions, according to announced theme, judges did not want to reply on them, they stood up and left room. Journalists of closed newspaper "Respublika" which was closed, according to court decision in response to such attitude, they conducted a brief flashmob in hall of press center.
