Board of Appeals of Almaty City Court has affirmed judgement of District Court of closure of "universal" media "Respublika"

On February 22, 2013 Board of Appeals of Civil Cases of Almaty City Court has affirmed a judgement of Medeu District Court, concerning prohibition of issue of universal media "Respublika". The appeal of defendants was dismissed.
Within the hour, representatives of defendants gave and sounded arguments, but a judge ignored them and she held action and ruled for the General Prosecutor's Office of Almaty.
Earlier, on a trial, representatives of eight independent editions with title "respublika", they attempted to prove that there was illegal ruling of Medeu District Court (in particular, which was issued in December, 2012), the ruling should be recalled, because legislation of Kazakhstan had no norms of compulsory amalgamation of the property of different legal entities. The Public Prosecutor Autalipov, who supported the charge, he could not explain the reason of claim of the General Prosecutor's Office to acknowledge these newspapers as universal media and existence of extremist trend of these newspapers.
We would remind you, that on November 21, 2012 Public Prosecutor has filed suits and claims on recognition of 8 newspapers and 23 Internet-resources as universal media "Respublika" and on suspension of its issue and dissemination within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan; on suspension of issue and dissemination of the newspaper "Vzglyad" within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and its dubbing Internet-resources; on suspension of foreign media output within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan – television channel "K+" and its dubbing Internet-resources; on suspension of foreign media output within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Internet video portal "stan.tv".
None of courts followed suits public prosecutor's representatives did not even prove the accusation in extremism, they referred to sentence on Kozlov's case, representatives of above mentioned media were not put on trial of him.
On December 25, 2012 Medeu District Court of Almaty has recognized newspapers "Golos Respubliki – Kaleydoskop Sobytiy Nedeli", "Respublika. Delovoye Obozrenie – Duble 2", "Moya Respublika. Facty, Sobytiya, Ludi", "Respublika -NEW – Informatsionno-Analiticheskiy Ezhenedelnik", "Vsya Respublika", "Moy Dom – Respublika". Obzor Sobytiy Nedeli", "Respublika -2030- Delovaya Gazeta", "Respublikanskie Vesti – Delovoye Obozrenie" and their 23 Internet-resources as universal media "Respublika" and suspended activity of this media within territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
