Operators of cable television think that program translation of obligatory television channels is on verge of collapse

The Chairman of Board of Association of Legal Entities "International Assciation of Cable Operators "Asia" Anton Shin has sent a open letter to Prime Minister of the Republic Of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov on behalf of members of association. He asked him some questions, concerning Government decree (it was come into effect on January 20, 2013) on the approval of the list of obligatory television channels.

He noted that operators of cable television have been become violators of law, they did not receive ant technical capabilities for execution of Government decree. In particular, neither joint-stock company "Kazteleradio" nor television channels from obligatory list they supply the equipment which necessary for receiving of obligatory television channels for cable operators. Cable operators had no funds in their budget item.

Anton Shin has asked a question to Prime Minister of the Republic Of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov:

- Why operators of cable television and other interested persons had impossibly short terms to adjust their activity in accordance with Government decree;

Anton Shin has applied for Prime Minister of the Republic Of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov:

- To solve a problem, concerning free of charge supply of equipment for operators of cable television of the Republic of Kazakhstan which necessary for receiving and followup rebroadcasting of obligatory television channels;

- To explain reason, why state authorized bodies gave permission joint-stock company "Kazteleradio" to wield conditional access system, with regard to obligatory television channels.
