Trial of newspaper “Respublika” is continued

There was a next trial by suit of Public Prosecutor on ban of issue and distribution of the newspaper “Golos Respubliki” and its Internet-resources on December 06, 2012 in Medeu Court of Almaty. The newspaper “Golos Respubliki” had been as defendant.
The issue on change of measure for security of a claim was discussed on a trial.
Representatives of defendant, lawyers Sergey Utkin, Tamara Simalhina and employee of LLP “Media-Consult” (owner of portal “Respublika”) Natalia Antonova, they filed a motion for change of measure for security of a claim, because newspaper “Golos Respubliki” was not recognized as extremist one, sentence concerning, Kozlov's case had no direct respects to them and suspension of the issue of newspaper “Golos Respubliki” violated economic rights of edition.
The judge G. Beysenova has defeated to satisfy motions. Furthermore, she has issued judicial determination of additional interim measures – ban on change of owner, main thematic scope of media; denied to explain the execution of determination, issued on November 21, 2012 in aid of execution of Public Prosecutor.
Owners of all editions of the newspaper “Respublika” were taken to court as third persons.
On a trial , Public Prosecutor has sustained his claim completely.
Today, representatives of newspaper “Golos Respubliki” could receive and familiarize with suit of Public Prosecutor. Hence defendants have made a motion for removal of trial on the merits.
The next trial will be held on December 13, 2012.
