Against all expectations, circulation of newspaper "Golos Respubliki" was not seized on November 22, 2012. Editorial staff thought that it was only the temporary grace and if next issue was not issued, a reader would not receive it.
Medeu District Court of Almaty has issued a ruling, related to suspension of disatribution of the newspaper "Respublika" on November 21, 2012 in connection with filing of a suit of Public Prosecutor of Almaty on suspension of issue of 40 printed media and Internet-resources. Suits originatted from statements of experts in trial "by Kozlov's case". They said that there were signs of incitement of national enmity in publications of "Respublika", "Vzglyad", "K+". General Prosecutor's Office, proceeding from the principle of prejudice, reported that this fact was proven.
On November 23, 2012 at press conference, lawyer Sergei Utkin said that editorial staffs did not participate in trial over Kozlov, did not know about conduction of expertise so, their right to protection was violated flagrant.
All this casts doubt on objectiveness of the upcoming trials over closure of media.
