Editorial office of newspaper "Zerkalo" (Temirtau) was set on fire

On November 07, 2012 unknown persons have broken windows and thrown grenades to the editorial office of newspaper"Zerkalo". Tenants of the house saw a fire, where editorial staff rented office. They woke a custodian up, called to police, fire brigade; a custodian called to editorial staff. The post of fire protection service has received a fire alarm at 06.49 a.m. Rooms of chief editor and journalists were damaged in a fire (in particular, a computer, documents, paper and a part of furniture was burnt). The correspondent of newspaper "Zerkalo" Nataliya Vernadskaya said that the editorial staff was summoned to east police station of Temirtau in the afternoon. Policemen will open criminal case. It is obviously that this arson was committed by oversophisticates, but those, whom the newspaper stealed a march. The Public Prosecutor has promised to take the investigative process under his own control. Now, journalists work nominally, but they will implement their activity at home. The next issue of newspaper will be published, according to schedule.

Editorial staff believed that this arson was connected with their professional activity.

On April 07, 2012 reporter of the weekly "Zerkalo" from Temirtau Natalia Vernadskaya came to the porch of the editorial office during working time. Two unknown persons came to her and began to threat her with a gun. After that they turned and went away.

On the same day Natalia Vernadskaya has filed a complaint with Department of Internal Affairs (Temirtau). An unknown persons have called to her home telephone in the night (every other day) and began to threat to her. However, the investigative process of this incident was failed, a charge was dismissed.
