Maxim Kartashov was beaten in Astana on August 13, 2012.

Three unidentified men beat and attempted to strangle Maxim Kartshov at the entrance of his apartment building at 22.00 p.m. on Monday in Astana.

For the first time, M. Kartashov was attacked on March 11, 2004, when he had been sports reporter of the newspaper “Vremya”. Two unidentified men, one of them was holding his hand and the other one punched in his face at the entrance of his apartment building. The journalist was diagnosed with a concussion and contusion of eye bulb and tear of the eyelid.

Maxim Kartashov believes that the previous and the last attack was connected with his professional activity.
