On April 24, 2012 International Freedom of Expression Exchange: The global network for free expression (IFEX) has conducted a campaign in support of Lukpan Akhmedyarov, who was wounded seriously on April 19, 2012 and other Kazakhstan's journalists, who has been attacked. International Freedom of Expression Exchange: The global network for free expression (IFEX) numbers 89 non-governmental journalistic organizations from all round the world. They should support the appeal to General Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. IFEX members are deeply concerned about the increase in brutal attacks on outspoken journalists in Kazakhstan, and the impunity surrounding their cases.
International Freedom of Expression Exchange: The global network for free expression (IFEX) will send the appeal to State Office of General Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan with signatures of IFEX' members.
