Internet-resources www.socialismkz.info, www.respublikas.info with mirrors of the website guljan.org, www.twitter.ru and other ones, which covered tragic events in Zhanaozen (Mangistau oblast) have been blocked on territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan on December 16, 2011. Various information resources have provided information that or state authourity used firearm to disperse struck oilmen, or criminals disorganized the Independence Day of Kazakhstan. Some citizens have been killed and wounded; administrative buildings have been damaged and burnt.
Journalists of Aktau (oblast center) have said that they could not go to Zhanaozen, because it was blocked.
