The International Day to End Impunity – is a new initiative of International Freedom of Expression Exchange, which consolidated 89 journalistic organizations around the world.

There was a press conference, devoted to International Day to End Impunity in National Press Club on November 23, 2011 in Almaty.

In the past 10 years,more than 500 journalists have been killed.

In 2010, 44 journalists have been killed, in 2011 for nine months 35 journalists have been killed.

In nine out of 10 cases, the murderers have gone free.

It is impossible to call a profession of the journalist as safety one in Kazakhstan. Threats and attacks have been common phenomenon of faithful activity.

Journalists proposed to make "a black list of crimes against journalists".

It will include the information on organizations and persons, which and who committed a crime against journalist and has not been punished.
