Editorial staff of the newspaper “Golos Respubliki” has distributed a press release. Traffic policemen have stopped a car with two hundred copies of newspaper “Golos Respubliki” in Zhanaozen (Mangistau oblast) on October 24, 2011. The Coalition “People’s Front of Kazakhstan” has purchased them for free of charge distribution among striking oilmen. Traffic policemen have seized newspapers and detained a car driver.
An Officer of Department of Struggle for Extremism has explained that it was possible that “the newspaper contained materials of extremist character”. It would be sent to expertise.
