The article "Radiation in furnace" by Julia Chernyavskaya was published in the newspaper "Megapolis" on December 27, 2010. It was devoted to ecological problems, which were connected with the development of coal "Karazhyra".
Representative of coal-mining company "LLP Karazhyra Ltd" has called to the editor-in-chief of newspaper"Megapolis" after publication of article. He expressed his disagreement with summarized point of view, related to problem in the publication. They wanted to provide the information for new issue of the newspaper. Editorial staff has agreed with it. However, representatives of the company did not contact with journalists for the last three months.
In March, 2011 Julia Chernyavskaya knew that representatives of LLP "Karazhyra Ltd" have addressed to city court of Ust-Kamenogorsk (East Kazakhstan oblast) on February 17, 2011. They have filed a suit about protection of business reputation of legal entity. The staff of company insisted on publication of a disclaimer. Editorial staff and journalist of newspaper should recover KZT15000000 (USD102040) as moral damage.
The trial will be held on April 04, 2011.
