Police Officers of Department of Internal Affairs of Republic of Kazakhstan prohibited editorial staff of newspaper "Diapasone" to publish information on emergency situation

On October 13, 2010 the staff of city department of internal affairs (Aktobe) and press service of regional office of internal affairs contacted with editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Diapasone" Elena Getmanova. They asked her to provide photos for them. There were shots near high-school № 19 on October 12, 2010. Earlier, reporter of the newspaper "Diapasone" Yuri Geyst has collected materials about this incident on the scene. Later, a civilian came to him and intruduced himself as a serviceman of counter-terrorism department. He took a dictophone of Yuri Geyst and deleted files with records by force. Police officers asked her not to publish the article.
