Adil Soz resumes monitoring of freedom of expression violations

The International Foundation for Protection of Freedom of Speech “Adil Soz” is resuming its regular monitoring of violations related to freedom of expression and the right to receive and disseminate information in Kazakhstan.

We will systematically document cases of pressure on journalists and media outlets, restrictions on access to information, blocking of websites and accounts, and other incidents affecting freedom of expression and the professional work of the media.

We will publish a weekly overview of the main developments. A more comprehensive review of the situation in Kazakhstan will be released every month.

This monitoring will make it possible to see not only individual incidents, but also the broader picture: what types of violations are occurring, how the situation is changing, and which trends require particular attention.
