LLP “Specmachin” demands ten millions tenge from newspaper “Gorodskaya nedelya”

LLP “Specmachin” has brought a suit against owner of the newspaper “Gorodskaya nedelya” (it meant LLP “Nedelya-PV”), editorial staff and journalist Alexander Baranov. It was suit about protection of business reputation and recovery of ten millions tenge as moral damage.
The charges stemmed from article “Trusteeship in law”, published in the newspaper on July 22, 2009. There was information on beginning of legal proceeding in Pavlodar by case of businessman Ramazan Zhumatayev, his business contacts with heads of LLP “Specmachin”. He was killed in spring of 2008. Journalist has made estimation of activity of this enterprise.
Employees of LLP “Specmachin” thought that value judgments of A. Baranov have been untruth and discredited information.
