Newspaper “Vzglyad” and Internet-portal “Stan.kz” call for protection of independent press

Heads of the newspaper “Vzglyad” and Internet-portal “Stan.kz” think that defense and law enforcement agencies. They give samples, when unknown persons in plain-clothes concussed news editor of the newspaper “Vzglyad” Katherine Belyaeva and journalist of the Internet-portal “Stan.kz” Natalie Panova to conversation. They asked them about activity of heads and employees of these editions.      

Chief Editor of the newspaper “Vzglyad” Igor Vinyavskiy thinks that there is a general tendency of liquidation of independent mass media. There are facts of intimidation of employees of other editorial offices after closure of newspapers such as, “Taszhargan”, “Alma-ata Info” and “Respublika”. Journalists of the newspaper “Vzglyad” and Internet-portal “Stan.kz” called political powers, civil society and international organizations for protection of independent press and freedom of speech in Kazakhstan.
