Employees of the newspaper “Alma-ata Info” filed a counter-claim to Department of Committee of National Security of Zhambyl region

There was next legal proceeding by suit of Public Prosecutor of Medeu district of Almaty about stoppage of issue of the newspaper “Alma-ata Info” in Specialized Inter District Economic Court of Almaty on February 03, 2009.
Defendant’s representative, lawyer of the foundation “Adil soz” Ganna Krasilnikova has said that suit of Public Prosecutor was dismissed. There was institution of criminal case against founder of the newspaper Ramazan Yesergepov. He was charged of divulgation of state secrets. Civil Procedural Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan binds the court to stop or dismiss consideration of civil case before completion of proceeding, entertained earlier and concerning the same subject of dispute.
PLC “Zhuldyz” (proprietor of the newspaper “Alma-ata Info”) filed a counter-claim to Department of Committee of National Security of Zhambyl region during legal proceeding. This counter-claim was about violation of rules of data classification.
The part of legal proceeding had been close. It was connected with consideration of secret documents of Department of Committee of National Security of Zhambyl region.
The court has taken counter-claim of PLC “Zhuldyz” about conduction of textual expertise of the correspondence between officers of CNS, published in the newspaper.
