"Road Control" reporter Anton Knyazev was beaten In Ust-Kamenogorsk

On August 3, in Ust-Kamenogorsk, five unknown persons beat Anton Knyazev, a reporter Road Control NGO news website.

After the information about the incident was published on social networks, the Police Department of the East Kazakhstan region announced that a pre-trial investigation had been launched under Article 293, Part 2, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Hooliganism),  two suspects identified and the relevant investigative activities conducted.

This is not the first attack on Road Control journalists. As it was reported on July 19, in Atyrau, an unknown person beat up Olesya Vertinskaya, Road Control reporter. A few days before the attack, the journalist had received a message with threats from a hidden phone number.
