Journalists are allowed into the Temirtau City Court again

Journalist Tatyana Kovaleva shared good news: the Karaganda Regional Court cancelled the ban imposed by Ms. Gavrichenkova, the judge of Temirtau City Court, that prohibited participation of media at offline hearings. Obviously, now T. Amrashev, the chairman of the same city court, would prefer to forget about his threats against the journalist.

As it was reported, T.Amrashev, chairman of the Temirtau City Court,  hinted to the       parties in litigation that the hearings may be closed. It was the trial on car accident, that has been considered since September 2021. Then the judge made  journalist leave the courtroom and

warned Tatyana Kovaleva that if she filed a complaint against him, he would regard that as pressure on the court. Nevertheless, the journalist still filed a complaint.

Adil soz considered that to be an illegal restriction of the publicity of an open court session, obvious violation of judicial ethics  and interfering with legal professional activity of journalist.
