Aktobe. At 11 PM 5 people - policemen and attesting witnesses – knocked at the door of journalist Ardak Erubaeva. The police showed a search warrant. They searched the apartment and seized a mobile phone. By midnight, they took her to the police department for interrogation.
As Erubaeva told the Adil Soz reporter, she does not understand her procedural status at the interrogation. The investigator was interested why she went to the rally and who accompanied her.
Ardak Erubaeva suggests that the akim (mayor) of the region (Aktobe region) Ondasyn Urazalin added her to the list of people who were to be interrogated.
“I often criticize the work of Ondasyn Urazalin. In those days, I wrote on social networks that he did not come out to the protesters. He sent the akim of the city Askhat Shaharov instead, who had to come out to the people for several times, though the rallies took place not only in the city, people also gathered in remote areas of the region. Accordingly, I think the head of the region should have come out to the people, not the city mayor, ”she said.
By 02 AM on January 10, the journalist was released and brought home without imposing any restrictions.
