In accordance with the decision of the Board of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, the winners of the republican creative contest and the laureates of the prize of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan in 2018 are:

Reporter's work - Vladimir Radionov, correspondent of the international news agency KazTAG, - for prompt coverage of social and political events in Kazakhstan.

Political review - Shamakhayuly Kuandyk, journalist, - for a series of  articles on topical issues of the state language development published in "Akyat" journal.

Economic Review - Aleksey Nikonorov, a columnist for the Internet portal 365info.kz (Temirtau), - for analytical articles on the problems of the banking sector and credit policy;

The search write-up - Oksana Akulova, the correspondent of the republican socio-political newspaper Vremya, for a series of articles on the development of civil society.

Television work - Leila Auesova, Khabar's staff correspondent for Aktobe region, - for preparing  reports on social topical issues; Rakhymzhanova Kuralai, editor of the ERTIS (Pavlodar) TV channel, for in-depth study of the problems and search for their solutions, rich language and genre diversity.

Investigative report - Adil Onerbaev, special correspondent for the television channel "Astana", - for a series of stories on topical issues;

Research work - Roza Satkanova, journalist of "Akzhaik" TV channel (Uralsk) - for an actual study of issues of social and economic development of Western Kazakhstan;

Popular scientific work - Ainur Saparova, correspondent of the newspaper "Ak Zhayik" (Atyrau) - for a series of publications on social topics; Maria Shilo, correspondent of the newspaper "Kostanai News", - for the creative approach in the preparation of write-ups on the moral education of youth.

Photo work - the authoring team of the album "Yasyrdy kozi", presenting photo works of recognized Kazakhstan photographers Ryskali Duysengaliev, Nurgozhi Zhubanov and Denderbiy Egizov.

Internet project - Pavel Durov, the founder of the social network VKontakte and the creator of the messenger Telegram, - for the principled stance against censorship and state interference in the free correspondence of citizens on the Internet.

Shayakhmet Tleubek, photojournalist of the newspaper "Didar" from the East Kazakhstan region, was awarded with a special prize of the Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan named after Rakhimbay Khanaly.

The Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan awarded the title of Honorary journalists of Kazakhstan to Nusupbai Abdrakhimov (Almaty region), Shakizada Abdikarimov (Kyzylorda region), Tikhon Alipkali (West Kazakhstan region), Bakbergen Amalbekov (Akmola region), Suybai Baikadiev (East Kazakhstan region), Fedor Denisenko (North Kazakhstan region ), Myltykbai Yerimbetov (Almaty), Bolat Zhamkenov (Astana), Zholdas Zhankuat (Atyrau region), Ertai Ashykpaev (Aktyubinsk region), Torekhan Maybas (Karaganda region), Bakhytgul Makimbay (Almaty), Kanapiya Myrzagozhin, Abdilda Sasenbiev (Zhambyl region), Isa Tuskulov (South Kazakhstan region), Oskenbai Tastemkhanov (Pavlodar region), Vitaliy Pekelnik (Almaty region), Murat Ulykpan (Mangistau region).
