Coincidence or warning?

On Thursday, May 10, at 4.30 PM the  fifth hearing on the ban of the news portal Ratel.kz will take place in Medeu District Court.

And the previous overnight of May 8 into May 9 morning, Pavel Gussev, director of the Kazakh Network Information Center (KazNic), wrote in Facebook:

"Today, on May 9, 2018, at about 0:30 AM in Almaty at the corner of Gogol street and Panfilov street I was assaulted by a stranger by no reason. The attacker had a knife. Since I am an expert having special technical knowledge in Ratel.kz case, I believe the attack was not accidental. It took place in the center of the pedestrianised zone equipped with a bunch of security cameras. The police arrived very quickly. However, instead of trying to nobble the lawbreakers, they took me and my relative to Almaly District Department of Internal Affairs, where they accepted the statement for the police about the loss of the mobile phone. Well, that's all.
